This is the most Christmasy cupcake I could think of. I made them twice--once for my work Christmas party and again a couple days later for a Christmas party with family. They are delicious and moist and yummy and holiday-y and perfect. You should make them.

Baby Shower Cupcakes
I had my first big cupcake baking "challenge" this past weekend--baking cupcakes for my BFF's baby shower. The catch? The shower was happening in Phoenix, 300 miles away from my trusty oven. Against all odds, I think they turned out pretty good:

Beard/Mustache Cupcakes
Just a quick post... the sundae cupcakes I made were for our end of November beard contest. The final touch before the party was adding tiny beard/mustache flags. I think they turned out pretty cute, and also tasty.

Aren't Compliments the Best?
A vendor brought in a couple dozen bakery cupcakes yesterday that were absolutely beautiful. My coworkers were super complimentary with a couple emails going around:
"Note: These are not as good as Krissy’s. Eat at your own risk of disappointment."
"Definitely NOT as good as Krissy’s!"
"Note: These are not as good as Krissy’s. Eat at your own risk of disappointment."
"Definitely NOT as good as Krissy’s!"
I figured they were just being nice, so I had one and was really, really disappointed. The cake was dry and flavorless, the frosting was an odd, greasy consistency. Just not good, especially for the price. I ate a couple bites and tossed the rest. To be nice back to my wonderful coworkers, I made their favorite cupcakes today...
Vegan Chocolate Cupcakes with Cookies 'n' Cream Un-Buttercream
My second attempt at vegan baking went better than the first. I actually used the same vegan chocolate cake recipe as the first time since they turned out so good. The cake somehow turns out perfectly moist and delicious without any hint that it's vegan. A good thing when you are baking vegan cupcakes for a mixed crowd of eaters.

Pumpkin Spice Cupcakes
Made these for a pumpkin-loving coworker's birthday and they turned out so great that I made them again less than a week later to take to a party. If you like pumpkin, definitely try these out! I decided to frost them with vanilla bean marshmallow buttercream which was nice and fluffy and reminiscent of whipped cream. It is a fairly simple recipe and a great way to use any leftover pumpkin puree you might have sitting around during the holidays.
